Six Russian troops reportedly killed in Chechnya

2 October: A mobile group of mojahedin attacked occupiers' positions in Zavodskoy district of Dzhokhar [Groznyy] on the night of 1 October, a source in the Chechen command has said. Two aggressors were killed and at least four were wounded in the attack. A checkpoint in the city's Staropromyslovskiy district was attacked on the same night. According to radio interceptions, three infidels [referring to Russian troops] were wounded.

A mobile group of mojahedin attacked a patrol unit of infidels in Zavodskoy district of the capital on the night of 2 October. There are no casualties among the mojahedin.

The Chechen sources also reported that an air strike was carried out on Chechnya's Vedenskiy District on the night of 1 October. A few bombs were presumably dropped near the village of Zhanni-Vedeno.

Also an artillery strike was carried out on the forest area near [the village of] Avtury on the night of 1 October. There is no information about casualties among civilians.

The mojahedin detained two collaborators in Dzhokhar's Zhukovskiy street on 2 October, Daymohk news agency quoted the headquarters of the Staro-Sunzhenskiy sabotage group as saying. After the seizure of weapons and IDs, the national traitors were shot dead.
