The Algerian "Salafi Group for the Call and Combat" has appealed to its supporters to carry out terrorist operations targeting Algerian officials in France, thus confirming its rejection of the amnesty initiative announced by the authorities.

In a statement published on fundamentalist websites yesterday, it called on its activists and supporters "to hunt down these criminals in France", a reference to officials in the Algerian state. The statement urged following up their movements in France and said: "Watch them and wait for them in every road (...), in the dens of corruption and entertainment and gambling places. Wait for them outside the nightclubs and stores selling alcohol." It added: "If you cannot exterminate them, then at least wage a campaign among the Muslim community to expose and uncover them and spoil their rest."
